The population's need for security in Europe is increasing considerably due to the current threat of terrorist attacks. Unfortunately, the equipment of regular police forces is insufficient to counter them. What is lacking is ammunition whose use ensures an immediate and sustained stopping of violence and which is available everywhere, i.e. in every patrol car or response vehicle together with the corresponding weapon.
One thing is clear: the 9 mm Para or Luger calibre cartridges used so far by most European police forces are hardly suitable for counter-terrorism, because they do not provide the necessary performance for ballistic reasons. This applies even when fired from a submachine gun. This is where the new ATS® begins its field of application.
Stopping power!
The ATS® is a cartridge in calibre 12/70 (2 ¾") with an extremely hard slug weighing 27.5 g (424 grs). At the usual engagement distances of up to approx. 50 m, it offers outstanding stopping power and can be fired universally from any type of smoothbore barrel.
