Beschreibung
The SIG SAUER P226 is the pistol by which all other combat handguns must be measured. Originally developed as SIG SAUER's entry into military trials as a replacement for the 1911, the P226 has established itself worldwide. Today it serves with the U.S. Navy SEALs, federal agencies, and numerous police units, including the Texas Rangers, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and the Michigan State Police.
The outstanding ergonomics and well-balanced weight distribution make this full-size pistol particularly easy to handle and control. Available in 9 mm calibre and, new from model year 2024, Optic Ready as standard, the P226 combines proven operational reliability with modern features.

Safety information
This pistol is not equipped with a manual safety. A manual safety – if present and engaged – is designed to mechanically prevent the weapon from firing when the trigger is pulled. Whether a pistol with or without a manual safety is appropriate depends on experience, training and intended use. The fundamental rules of safe weapons handling must be observed at all times.
Even during normal handling, an unintentional trigger pull can occur. A manual safety – if present – serves only as an additional safety measure and does not replace safe weapons handling. If a cartridge is in the chamber and the trigger is pulled, the pistol will fire unless a manual safety is engaged.
The SIG SAUER P226 stands for reliability, precision and uncompromising operational capability – a legend that continues to define the standard to this day.
