When it came to naming the CANiK competition pistol, the challenge was to find a name that reflects the goal we set for ourselves when developing this weapon. The goal was simple: this platform should be equal to or better than anything used in the field of competitive sport shooting, and give the user a clear advantage to win! With that in mind, the name quickly became obvious: this weapon is without a doubt the "RIVAL".

No other name could express the design so clearly: a superior model capable of challenging all other pistols now takes the stage. With specially developed features to outperform the competition, such as an improved beavertail, aggressive front slide serrations, a deeper trigger guard angle, a new Holster Fit-and-Lock (HFL) feature and the new self-expanded magwell frame design. With the new frame design equipped with an adjustable rear sight, front sight and fibre optic front sight, the handling and target acquisition of the pistol are drastically improved.

The CANiK SFx RIVAL features a modular frame that allows easy disassembly of the weapon. Thanks to this design, the user can strip their pistol down to its smallest parts straight out of the box and then reassemble it using only the CANiK punch tool. CANiK® continues to use the world's most advanced technology in trigger design to develop the diamond-cut, 90°-angle, lightweight aluminium flat trigger of the CANiK SFx RIVAL, which together with the shortened pre-travel and reset increases speed and accuracy.

In addition to all these technical improvements, aesthetic aspects were also taken into account in the design of the RIVAL: with a unique coating colour called Canik Rival Grey, applied exclusively for CANiK by Cerakote to the frame and slide, as well as H122 Gold on the trigger, the magazine release button, the magazine base plate, the magwell and the slide stop lever, this weapon will be the centre of attention on any shooting range.

With these features and its 127 mm barrel, the CANiK SFx RIVAL can compete without restrictions in competitions organised by IDPA, IPSC and USPSA.
